KITCenter will enable two-year colleges in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to prepare highly skilled information technology workers needed to fill high-paying jobs with existing and new Kentucky companies.
Vision
KITCenter will provide 21st century professional development, best practices and education in information technologies to develop highly skilled educators, practitioners and technicians capable of adapting to changes in curriculum, delivery methodologies and market demands.
Goals
KITCenter Goals:
- Increasing Information Technology (IT) enrollment and completion rates of students in two-year colleges;
- Implementing an industry-driven IT curriculum;
- Providing professional development for high school and two-year college faculty using a physical facility, a virtual center, and mobile centers to provide workshops;
- Increasing support and participation of business, government, and industry
